Silver Girl by Elin Hilderbrand
2.0
Inspired by the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme, I was intrigued by the premise of the book and was happy to see that the main characters were 40-something women. Sadly, that’s where my interest in this one ended. This was about 150 pages longer than it should have been and STILL, there were so many loose ends and undeveloped plot elements at the resolution. In addition, the love stories were bland and forgettable, the incessant repetition of the same ideas (like Meredith’s graying hair) was annoying, and the complete obliviousness to her husband’s cheating ways was not believable. This was my least favorite Hilderbrand novel I’ve read yet and one I would advise others to skip.
