Book Review Angakok
Author David Alan Morrison
Four Stars
David Alan Morrison is a really good author and his plot was well intentioned. Yet I was lost from the beginning. There are more characters in this book than truely need to be and it was very confusing and hard to keep track of. The flash back into past lives and the trying to figure out who was who in those past lives and why there were conflicts. It just got to be too much and it was a real struggle for me to get through.
There are several of todays issues in this book though. LGBT is a big part of this as well as one of the characters is suffering from PTSD. The author seems to put a LOT of emphasis on the fact that Mrs. Jeremy is fat, which yes is a description we needed to understand her slow moving yet it isnt something that needed to be thrown out there through out the book.
David Alan Morrison is a very creative writer and his imagination went rampant in this book. If you have a time to sit and involve yourself in a book that has more flashbacks than it seems real action then this book is for you. If you arent opposed to multiple personalities and trying to keep them all straight then you will love this book.
