For me, this is an odd book in this series. The main characters were missing for hundreds of pages and the characters that took up that space were, for the most part, uninteresting. The main character, Richard, that we've grown to know in the previous books was totally unlike his portrayal earlier. This Richard was stupid, a borderline moron. Did not like the way familiar characters were portrayed and found this easily to be the weakest book in the series so far.
