I liked this book. It’s about four brides who have disappeared and has started a rebellion and now the kingdom is out of control. I love reading high fantasy novels and haven’t read anything good with high fantasy every Seinfeld Crescent City. I enjoyed the world building and the story plot line of this book. The author did an amazing job creating this whole new world and bringing in an original story. I do have to say that the book was a little hard to get into because of all the new information about the world and the pacing being a little slow in the beginning. But overall the writing of this book was well done!

I enjoyed the characters in this book but there are way too many POVs of different characters which are all written in the third person. It was really hard for me to keep up and it felt like you were back in school with new people and have to memorize all of their names. It was really hard to get used to all the new characters and keeping up with their character developments. I’m a reader that prefers 3 at most but not too many or get used to the main characters and then throw in some other povs to balance it out. There is some slow burn romance in this novel but truly it’s not the main factor of the story.

The ending was ok and not my favorite because it had an abrupt ending to it. In this book, I enjoyed all the plot twists that were thrown in which helped keep the story interesting. Mostly that dropped the stars for me was the characters which is a huge deal with me and the slow pacing. I’m still probably going to read the second book since I know the characters better but we will see. I think this book is for those who love complicated stories with many characters. This book is perfect for fans if Three Dark Crowns and Game of Throne.
