When All Is Said by Anne Griffin
1.0
Wow, this one was such a let down! I am blown away by all the rave reviews.
First, I didn't care for the main character at all. I found him super self-centered, obnoxious, and rude.
Second, this book was soooooo boring. If this wasn't a book club read, I would have DNF'd.
Third, you know the whole 'woman written by a man' character? This was 'man written by a woman', but done poorly. He was supposed to be endearing but he came off condescending, and the whole vibe was very Hallmark-y and cheesy.
Fourth, there was a ghost of a storyline with the coin situation, but it wasn't fleshed out well and honestly made little sense. I didn't care about it at all and the characters reactions surrounding it felt overblown.
Fifth, the ending was terrible and drove home a poor message.
