The Story of Art Without Men by Katy Hessel

4.0

each life story included in here--though brief--took me on a journey of solace. this book reminded me that these artists have dealt with not just creative blocks and barriers or success and joys, but also a whole range of just simply living life.

there are so many names, so much art that i'm excited to return to later in order to honor and really dig deeper.

some side-notes:
sentimentally, i'm attached to this book for keeping my mind busy during a difficult month.
aesthetically, this was an ARC and there were no color photos of the artwork which did put me off (but i know it'll be full color upon release here in the states, so ignore that grip)
