Little Star by John Ajvide Lindqvist

4.0

Funny, quite a few people here thought the book started off well and then slumped. My experience was exactly the opposite: why Lindqvist is compared to King is because he is so good with context. He builds the setting with fantastic skill-- whether suburban Stockholm or rural Sweden. Here, though, the action happens within four walls in the beginning. It gets better and delivers towards the end, but was the most difficult of the author's books so far.
