Decided to keep listening to the series, even though I just finished this one not too long ago.
This series just keeps getting better with each book. Fain & Galene are just awesome together. I don't know what it is about teen love separated by stupidity ... finding one another years down the line. It's one of my favorite types of stories.
Both have gone through hell and back, and their son had to deal with the fallout. Not to mention, they're all in a war against the League ... throw pirates in the mix, and things get a bit explosive ... literally.
One of my very favorite Kenyon scenes is in this book. The part where Fain & Galene are trying to disarm a bomb with Darling ... best scene ever!
This book is hell on your emotions. Once again, I was in tears in several spots. The much needed humor is spot on.
I love the direction this series is headed ... Off to listen to Julien's book ... again.
