I'm Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness by Austin Channing Brown

challenging informative fast-paced

4.25

This was a really interesting memoir, describing how the Black woman author moves in, through, and among white spaces, learning to love her Blackness. Her descriptions of white Christianity was particularly on-point for me, as I grew up in a predominantly white conservative church. I would recommend this to everyone who is interested in learning more about lived experiences in Black families and communities.
