Well in spite of all the content warnings I just added, I love these books. I enjoy them as audiobooks, the voice-acting is AMAZING. But even in writing I think they'd hit home. They make you laugh, rage, cry, and contemplate what it means to be human.
I hear some people don't like them...I wonder if they just didn't get far enough to get into the real story-arc, the character growth, etc. Without that, the story just wouldn't have the impact.

Graphic: Body horror, Death, Violence, Blood, Murder, Colonisation, Injury/Injury detail
Moderate: Addiction, Bullying, Child abuse, Child death, Drug abuse, Mental illness, Suicide, Grief, Death of parent, Schizophrenia/Psychosis
Minor: Body shaming, Confinement, Fire/Fire injury, Gaslighting
All the stuff I just detailed is built into the story of what's happening to these people, where they came from and how they became what they are. just about everything I detailed in the content warnings is treated as exactly the horror it should be.
