I’m not sure how to rate this book. It was heavy. I can’t imagine what it is like to be black and go through the things they do. But I can learn and I can sympathize and continuously do/be better.
I appreciated when Star was trying to stop the riot from attacking businesses because she felt it wasn’t right. I don’t know what it is like to live in that world, but I hope we can all make it better so the differences aren’t so drastic.
