The Moment by Douglas Kennedy
4.0
A good holiday read from Mr Douglas, follows Thomas Nesbitt who moves to Berlin in 1984 to write a travel memoir. He meet's Petra, a woman with a tragic past, and the pair fall quickly in love. During their brief love affair, the details of Petra's other life on the 'wrong side' of the wall emerge and paint a different picture of the woman, Thomas thought he knew and loved.
I loved the time period it was set in, as I was only a small child when the Wall fell in the late 80s, so my knowledge of it is pretty scratchy. This was a good yarn and I really enjoyed it.
