I'm such a nerd that that line made me tear up.
Loved it! I think that Grant Morrison captured the characters and managed to tell a fantastic story that was suspenseful and action packed.
This is the first volume of the series and acts as a fantastic introduction to the JLA for those who are DC beginners.
My one and only issue was the in the inconsistency of the artwork from issue to the issue, first we see Batman depicted as a creep with a spine issue and claws, then we see him as the tall and stoic hero he is supposed to be. Some of the art isn't terrible but unfortunately none of it is very good either.
