Dark Days
by James Baldwin
Baldwin so brilliantly captures 'guilt' in a racist/classist society.
The burden of our guilt is borne by those who were disadvantaged by the system we privileged from. He talks mostly about the White Man's guilt, but I think you can extrapolate it to other forms of privilege as well. After all, according to Baldwin, a White man is not born White but becomes White through conscious decisions he makes within a spectrum of privilege and through the different stages of his life.
A great read - in fact, a must read - for everyone!
