To have a phrase from one of the main characters, I thought this book was “okay”. Nicholas Sparks books are never bad, but this is one of my least favorite of his. The male lead has no personality and his overuse of the word “okay” instead of engaging in conversation, though addressed in the book, was annoying. The female lead read like a teenager at times, despite being a 28 year old attorney. What I DID really enjoy was the stalker plot - it was engaging and kept me guessing.
