After is a book which originally rose to fame on an app called Wattpad and the original story is a Harry Styles (yes, as in One Direction Harry Styles!) fan fiction and I have no idea why I doubted. I finished it in just under a week.
The only reason that I decided to give it a go and read it was because it is being made into a movie so it must have been good, which I will admit, it was, hence the 5 stars. I will more than likely watch it.
I honestly thought that i'd hate it but I finished it and instantly started reading the second book. Aside from a few grammatical errors here and there (online) it was a really good story.
I am eager to see who they cast as Hardin and Tessa etc. (They have to change the names of the characters except Tessa because they are either the names of the boys on 1D or closely related).
I mean, I would say that I recommend this book as it took me completely by surprise. Even if you aren't a fan of One Direction, read it if you are curious as when you read it, it doesn't even feel like a fan fiction.
Worth the 5 stars.
