I was a little nervous this book was getting too relationshippy for my niece (we’re reading the series together but she got a couple books ahead of me and the amount of gushing she had to say about this book had me worried her mom would tell her she can’t read it anymore, lol). Thankfully it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be! It’s actually kinda cute that she was even gushing over this specific part I’m thinking of now. Haha.

Anyway! I really enjoyed this installment in the series. The plot just keeps on thickening and twisting and throwing me all the curve balls. Shannon’s writing style is also really good with this series. The range of emotion in this is also really great- moments of humor, sadness, joy, anger, confusion, all that good stuff that makes a story so enjoyable and relatable. It’s got both my niece and I really invested in what is going on and how it’s all going to pan out.

Also, I can not believe she ended this book the way she did. It gave major mic-drop vibes. Lol. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go read the next book because there’s no way I’m going to be able to sit on that cliff-hanger like a calm person. Lol.
