This has been on my to read shelf for a while. I made it a goal this year, that I would try to read as many books as I can on this shelf that have been figuratively "collecting dust". I am so glad that this was one of them! I have heard mixed reviews on this book, so I have always pushed this to the back of the list. But, I was pleasantly surprised and found it quite enjoyable. One of my favorite aspects of the novel was figuring out how the titles of each section correlated with the background story of the writer or character that was be highlighted. To be completely honest, there were times, while reading this novel that I wanted to hop on a plan and try my hand at being a foreign correspondence for a newspaper! This was a quick and interesting read.
