I enjoyed this, but it was a hot mess and did nothing but exacerbate the organizational sins of the first book. It did end, which I appreciated.

2024: I can't even be bothered to finish this, it has none of the magic of the first one and it slowly, brazenly sacrifices the momentum it borrows from the first book over the course of the 1st few chapters.
