libt392 's review for:
Little Men
by Louisa May Alcott
This classic has been on my TBR list for years. I switched between the audiobook read by C.M. Hebert and reading it on the Libby library app. There were some delightful bits and a few chapters I could have done without (lots of cutsie children play described in overt detail).
I thought that Jo’s character developed maternally in a beautiful way. She used her flare for drama and writing to enrich the boys’ lives at Plumfield and joined them in play on a number of occasions.
I came away with encouragement in parenting my boys from this book. Lots of optimism about fostering young boys with imagination and vigor.
