Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
4.0
I enjoyed this book so much more than I thought I would. It’s so oddly romantic, funny, and original. I love how much it expands so much on this new version of what a zombie is and can do. Being able to see memories from consuming the brain is such a nice little detail that enriches the book. I throughly enjoyed the book but it’s at 4 stars instead of 5 simply because I felt there were some inconsistencies or plot holes. I think the idea of zombies traveling in packs to hunt makes sense, but they did move the idea of organized society a little too much, specifically with the church and the zombie school. If zombies are ambivalent to everything, why would they care to teach zombie children? This aspect seemed a little to organized, making it a little odd to believe that no one before had thought of refusing to continue living as a zombie. Either way I enjoy the book and the way it was written. It caught me by surprise and despite being a zombie book I think it’s one of the bette romantic books I’ve read!
