What happens?
Lucy is staying at her friend Olive's house who you meet in the first book. She hears about a famous actor moving in with his son next door and decides to spy on him. During one spy session she sees the incompetent nanny leave the young boy by the pool who falls in. Unable to stand by watching him struggle she jumps the wall and saves the boy. Earning the wrath of Adam because he believes her to be nothing more than a crazed fan and gets her arrested.
Upon realising who she is connected to, Adam and his son go to say thank you for saving him and the friendship between son and Lucy develops. Meaning Adam has to spend time with Lucy now and begins to see her in a different light.
Final thoughts
I really didn't like Adam for the most of the way through this, but he did eventually grow on me.
My first impression of him starts bad because he gets her arrested for saving his son. Admittedly it was only because she was spying on him she saw him in trouble but surely you could overlook your privacy being violated the one time in thanks for your son not dying?
Anyway their romance is sweet and I like Lucy a lot. She comes into her own in this book.
