Batman Annual #2 by Elizabeth Breitweiser, Tom King, Lee Weeks, June Chung, Michael Lark

Loved it! I thought this was a bold move on Tom King’s part. In the past, Batman writers would tease a relationship but this issue really delved into the idea of them growing old together. There’s no plot but the character development is enlightening. Batman is so defined by the loss of his parents and while he had the Robins and Alfred, he doesn’t really have a female family member with whom to relate. It makes me
happy to see him this way. That last page with Cat and the cat... ugh I’m still
weeping a little
