Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill

Did not finish book.
Not my type of book.
I managed to get to the 50% mark (only kept reading because it was thoroughly recommended to me), but had to give up, as all I wanted to do was skip to the end to finally get to a book I enjoy.

This is mostly due to it not being my cup of tea, not due to the book being bad.

The only thing I did like was that is what quite fluently written, and the main character was enjoyable to read.

- But I didn't think the ghost "scary" in any way - I was bored instead.
- I disliked the (imagined) sex scenes - rarely does any author manage to write those in a good way though, if you ask me.
- There were parts (when the ghost "Speaks") that felt like complete nonsense talk, just different fragments of sentences strung together. I'm sure it was meant as a tool to make me feel something - but it just made me become annoyed.
- I don't care at all for any of the characters, besides the main one.

To shorten this a bit - I personally have no idea whom to recommend this book to. As I said it wasn't badly written, it just definitely is not for me. You'll have to make up your own mind about it.
