I loved this book!
It's very rare that a book grabs me by the first sentence and that is exactly what Reluctant Mortals did! The story is a re-telling (kinda) mashup of two very famous books -- Dracula and Jane Eyre. Told from the perspectives of the women most affected and subsequently forgotten by time, Lucy and Bee (Bertha), Reluctant Mortals weaves a tale of immortal feminine rage against the backdrop of LA in the 1960's.
This book was short and sweet, less than 20 chapters and I found myself wanting more more more of Lucy and Bee's story. I think this would be a great summer read :)
