The concept was great. I loved the idea of these people being sent to a secluded house to be picked off slowly. The kills were incredibly clever, obviously over the top, but still enjoyable. The characters were outrageously unlikeable and I mean like, when they finally died I was like “oh thank god.” In between chapters were transcripts of the comedians’ standup and, that completely took me out of the mystery at hand (also none of them were funny.)
🎯💣
Everyone was a suspect and I did enjoy trying to decide who was the murderer. I didn’t feel the urgency of a murderer at large and I think it’s mostly because of how it was structured (comedy sketches intermittently) and dialogue. Nothing was happening until something happened and then nothing would happen again. The book barely maintained my interest. The ending was as satisfying as the kills but, left me annoyed because the reason was ridiculous.

like, are you actually kidding me that the they were all viciously murdered because of their “comedic sins”?! And they made fun of Dustin? How fragile is this man’s ego Jesus Christ. I was so happy when Dante survived and pieced everything together. Also Ollie Reeves not cursing was so hard to read *eff this bee* *these dee bags suck* like, I get it’s supposed to show his immature mind frame but it was so annoying….
