I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
5.0
I think with all memoirs, they deserve nothing less than 5 stars. If I could give this one more than 5 stars I would. Jennette has written such a raw and honest account of her life it’s unbelievable, I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been to open up like that knowing it would be published for the entire world to see. I’m glad my mom died is a devastating read, some parts were so relatable it physically pained me to read them but I couldn’t bring myself to put the book down, I had to know what happened. I’m so glad she’s in a much better place now, she deserves nothing less!! I would say take care reading this if you have struggled with eating disorders, abusive parents or sexual abuse etc. as it does hit home hard at times❤️
