Like other readers have stated, this book needs a massive edit. She could have passed this info on to us busy parents in a fraction of the words. She goes on a lot of tangents, many of which are unrelated. She has no business giving general parenting advice or nutrition advice in this book (I rolled my eyes so hard when she went on a pro-paleo diet tangent saying her toddler is “angelic” eating paleo 😒) Also it’s kind of ridiculous that she’s anti arbitrary rewards (ie: sticker charts) but pro arbitrary punishments (she recommends taking toys away when they’re having too many accidents). Rewards and punishments are 2 sides of the same coin. That’s psychology (especially child psychology) 101.
All that said, the actual potty training info is very helpful. I don’t plan to follow her method to the T but will take a lot of tips and info from her.
