The story started out so strong- a classic odd couple providing a commentary in the detached notion of ‘first world’ countries going in and giving ‘aid’ to those destroyed by war.
An easy plot to follow with just enough twists to keep your attention. Until the last a paragraph.
And all I have to say to that is wtf. Ruined the entire previous reading experience for me. Felt like such a cop out that I would not have expected from Eggers. Disappointing to say the least.
