The Marriage Bargain by Jennifer Probst

2.0

I feel like a jerk giving an author two stars on a novel I am sure they loved and obviously thought they should share with the world but I have to. The novel started off great, easy to read interesting a real page turner. Somewhere along the lines it just became a drag to read. I felt like I was reading just so I can do it like most boring required reading. Even though I paid a dollar, I was determined to get my money's worth.

Alexa still finds Nicholas as attractive as she did when they were kids. Alexa marries her best friend's brother so she can save her childhood home. What bothered me about Alexa is that she is just too nice. Never once did she curse or be a jerk in the novel. She so desperately wants a real marriage getting jealous when Nicholas does something she does not like even though the marriage is not suppose to be real.

Nicholas is strictly about his money. That is the whole reason he wants to marry Alexa. For a while he does not trust her and thinks that she wants more of his money but she never does because she is too good.

I feel that my review is very bad and not really giving a reason why to buy or not buy this but I tried my best. I forgot most of what I read in the book because like I said, I was just trying to finish it to get my money's worth.
