Peterson does a magnificent job at critiquing mainstream understandings of different types of women who have defied Western cultural norms. Through a lens that acknowledges the impacts of the intersections of various parts of these women's identities, readers are able to conceptualize the broader societal structures that frames and oppresses these women as "too much" or, in her words, "unruly".
