My boyfriend randomly chose this book for me to read and this was a wild ride. The worldbuilding was all over the place for me but it got better after like 20%.
I got so obsessed with Isla and Kai. Their chemistry and banter were everything. I loved their dynamic and also the friendships they build or had with the other characters. If ANYONE OF THE CHOSEN FAMILY dies in the later books, I will sue Melissa.
Is it spicy? Yes. Does it have a good plotline? Also yes. I appreciate good spice but I also appreciate a really nice plot and this gave me everything. <3
