I absolutely loved this book. It was honestly lovely to read, lighthearted and relaxing.
The story follows a world where robots gain consciousness and part ways with humanity to live in the wilderness. The main character Dex decides to become a travelling tea monk and eventually crosses paths with Mosscap, a robot sent to ‘check up’ on humanity and see how they’re fairing after the years. While Dex tries to figure out their purpose in life, Mosscap offers to guide Dex on their journey if they help the robot to answer it’s question about what humanity needs.
I picked this up after reading the Wayfairer series by Becky Chambers and so far she hasn’t disappointed! I’ve already ordered the second book in this series and I can’t wait to read it.
