Life, Unscheduled by Kristin Rockaway

5.0

I've loved every book by Kristin Rockaway, and this one didn't disappoint. Her books are always easy to read but with a lot of meaning behind them.

This time around, the journey depicted was about going from workaholic to finding more meaning to her life beyond work. It's something many of us have experienced and it was extremely relatable. I loved Brandon and how his passion for life was infectious, and his scenes with Nicole were so romantic and real. This was a really mature romance with none of the miscommunications and misunderstandings that usually create conflict. They were both honest with each other but sometimes a lifelong pattern is hard to break, no matter how much you want to. I also loved the focus on mental health and found families, how sometimes your own family is too toxic that it's better to get away from them. If you like women's fiction with romance, believable characters, and books set in the workplace, then you'll love this one!
