I could not Possibly give this book less than 5 stars. Idk if I can give this book actually 5.75 stars but it seems he highest rating here so I’m trying! A sapphic Romeo and Juliet , but 100x more swoonworthy! Sci-fi and fantasy lovers will not want to miss this but also neither will Litfic and Romance readers. I had a feeling I would love this one and boy I did. This book has such gorgeous prose, such swoonworthy romance, such intricate plot (& yet actually so simple) and such immersive writing and worlds. Absolutely would recommend this book to anyone! Fans of VE Schwab and Madeline Miller will love this one as much as I do. It’s going on my list of favorites. Even though it was shorter than my typical reads, what a satisfying ending it has. The imagery, the symbolism! Life and death, birth and destruction, connection and meaning. I was so absolutely in love with this book my only regret is that I didn’t read it sooner and get longer with it. I highlighted like 75% of the book and made notes everywhere ! Pick it up. Read it. But a copy. Tell a friend. This is a fast read and one you’ll think about a long time!

Graphic: Death, Gore, Suicide, Grief, Suicide attempt, War
Minor: Child death, Miscarriage
The child death wasn’t depicted but a corpse is in very vague detail described. The simple mention miscarriage is also very brief - neither of these are dwelled on or a major focus at all
