I loved this! I got the audiobook version on a blind recommendation from a friend, and I didn't know what to expect--I just wanted something escapist. HO-LEE-SHIT did this work. I was hooked from the first page, and I loved the voice acting! I ordered a signed copy so I will eventually reread to see if it hits the same without the narration, but the narrators did a fantastic job.

It's definitely gory, and it got compared to the Mindfuck series a lot, which was another surprise favorite I found a few years ago. I would definitely say Mindfuck was more DARK with a romance subplot, whereas B+B was more of a romantic thriller/dark comedy. I definitely didn't laugh this much with Mindfuck, and B+B had me cackling and cringing and blushing and giggling. A  full spectrum of emotions. Sloan is going up with Lana Meyers and Indy from The Right Move for fave heroines of all time. I loved Rowan and Sloan so much, and I was invested in the subplots with his brothers so I'm assuming they're getting spinoffs.
