This has strong Practical Magic vibes. There’s a generational curse which leads to either death or loveless marriages, and two young women who are the 13th generation and therefore extra special. Doreen is determined to break the curse and find real love. To do so, she has to defy the aunt who raised her, join forces with the man who is believed to be the source of the curse, and go on a quest to complete a series of trials. It sounds terrible and cheesy, but it’s actually compelling and sweet. It’s a little too high stakes to be cozy fantasy in my book, but it’s also not high heat Romantasy.
