Both of Catherine Cowles small-town romance books that I've read have given me more than I expected! The romance is there, for sure, but the sub-plots offer more than the traditional romance for me. I only knocked off 0.25 stars because I felt the crescendo was a little rushed however, this series is quickly becoming top tier for me.
