Born at Midnight by C.C. Hunter

When I read this book in middle school I absolutely adored it. I have a lot of great memories associated with this book. But have read it a second time, I noticed its flaws. The authors writing reminds me of a sex crazed teenager. There are over dramatic moments that are unnecessary. The story itself felt rushed but at the same time never ending, but it didn’t bother me. The main reason I think I liked it was because the main character had parents going through a divorce and my parents were going through a divorce at the time. Don’t get me wrong, the story is unique and interesting, but again there are moments where I question the writing. It’s those moments that keep me from giving it that extra star.
