Quick but good!
I loved the characters from the get go. Their quirky, sarcastic attitudes played so well off each other. I'm surprised so much happened in so little time. This was extremely fast paced but I really enjoyed it and it didn't feel fast paced.
I was slightly disappointed that the bad guy was done away with so quickly but not enough so that I'd dock a star or anything for it. I would've liked to see more of their world with the magic they possess, but that's bc I love the characters so much.
The spice was very tasteful and very sweet. It was a great slow burn that led up to one moment of culmination. Not as explicit as I was expecting but more romantic than explicit if that makes sense.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be reading book 2.
