Since I will probably reread this one again in preparation for future sequels, I am rounding up to 5 stars.
Oooh now that was a cliffhanger plot twist ending! I NEED book 2 ASAP!
I only had the audiobook version to this book and was instantly enthralled by the world, monsters and myths, and chemistry and conflict between the main characters. I could not get enough of the banter and mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed this story even though several common tropes were implemented.
Content warning: swearing (especially f*), gruesome deaths, assault, and bedroom scenes near 80-83% mark of the book.
