Read while visiting Japan in June of 2025. Good book and far better than the outdated and seriously shallow Dave Barry book. Chris shares his growth and perspectives with the reader as he goes from being a somewhat reluctant member of the Northern Japanese community as an English teacher to a full fledged observer and contributor to the Japan experience. Very good book if you are visiting or planning on visiting Japan.
