Impressed and pleasantly surprised. I expected a straightforward murder mystery, but this is a beautifully written and tragic examination of the fallout for those who remain after a loved one unexpectedly dies. How do we process grief, regret, longing, the search for closure, and what our identity is when it’s forever intimately shaped by the person we lost?
