The Shadow Over Innsmouth by H.P. Lovecraft
3.0

Type of read: Commuter Read.

What made me pick it up: I think this one was on the Knox County Library Read City USA list? But the cover art got me and it sounded interesting.

Overall rating: I think one of the important things to remember with 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth' is that it was originally written in 1931. After you get past that, (it's clear in the style, language, and tone) 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth' is a delightfully mild horror about adventure and becoming what we've been warned to stay away from. Part sci-fi, part internal debate on nature versus nurture, and part absurd fantasy, I'm not mad that I read 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth.'
