Well I wanted to like this series. I absolutely adore Child's picture books, but at page 68 I decided to pack it in.
So far nothing has happened. I dont like the main character at all and in fact find the protag's characterisation discordant; a genius with poor grammar, mouthy but everyone loves her.
But in the end there was just too much description, too much clever dialogue and a real lack of forward motion to the story.
Such a shame really.
