Duma Key by Stephen King
4.0

Great character development but gets pretty spooky toward the end.
This was my first Stephen King book. I listened to it as an audiobook in my car. Man, it took me a long time to get through it all.
I liked Edgar Freemantle as a character because he was fairly complex and sympathetic. In the middle, it drags, before Edgar starts to meet friends. Once, a certain character dies, it becomes a whole different book. Suddenly it's all supernatural, focusing on ghosts, black magic and other creepy silliness. That's why I didn't get it 5 stars. I wasn't a fan of the supernatural stuff at the end. Not what the beginning and middle of the book led me up to.
