I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. It started off good but went so deep into the weeds so quickly that I'm not sure I actually found my way out of it. There's just too much detail that doesn't seem relevant. The book could have been half the length and twice as interesting and if I'm going to read 700 pages in Westeros, I would rather it be Book 6 than this.
