I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to read the book which inspired one of my all time favorite movies! Personally, the best part of reading this book was seeing what directly translated into some of the movie and what inspired other parts of it, and the story without wybie is super interesting! The illustrations in the edition I read were stunning and brilliant and I just think this entire book is so charming and an excellent introduction into horror for kids! Also the fact that Miss Spink and Miss Forcible are canonically lesbians makes me very happy:)
