I am a simple woman. Ali Hazelwood writes a book, I devour it. Don’t get me wrong, all her MMCs have big d*ck energy. But Miss Maya Killgore has them all beat. As much as I have a soft spot for a self-loathing, pining man, Conor got on my nerves after a little bit. A dual POV would’ve greatly benefited this story, as we never really get to see in his head. Still, it was a delicious story and chapter 36 may very well have changed who I am as a person. One more small complaint, it ends too soon. While I do like the ending and ultimately thought it was a happy ending for them, Ali has spoiled me with these epilogues and if we don’t get a cameo from these two in a future book I will RIOT.
Moderate: Alcoholism, Drug use, Infidelity, Grief, Death of parent, Pregnancy
