Yona of the Dawn, Vol. 3 by Mizuho Kusanagi
5.0
Yona and Hak find a priest, Ik-Su, who can talk to God, and Ik-Su sets them on a path to find restore Yona's kingdom. At the beginning of Kohka, there was a great Red Dragon. He became human and founded the kingdom. Four other dragons lend their strength to the Red Dragon to help create the kingdom. Yona's red hair, which she has always hated, is apparently a sign that she is a descendant of the Red Dragon, Ik-Su asks Hak and Yona to take his assistant, Yoon, with them as they journey to find the first dragon, whose location is known. Hak, Yona, and Yoon quickly find The White Dragon, and must now journey to find the other three, with only The White Dragon's senses to guide them.
As it seems, we have come to the main part of the quest to regain Yona's kingdom, I'm not sure how it will take them 20 novels to find 3 other dragons. I'm curious to see what else they will have to do to get Yona back on the throne. I think Yoon has the potential to be one of my favorite characters because he doesn't take anyone's crap! He knows he's great at what he does, which is cook, mend wounds, memorize books (he might have a photographic memory), and more. His addition to the group solves the problem of Yona and Hak not really being able to forage their way through meals. The art continues to be breathtaking in its detail of scenery and characters.
VIZ' rating of teen continues to be appropriate for this series.
